The Centre was opened in January 1990, by the then Minister for Sport, the Honourable Neil Tresize.

It is unique in that it has a hydraulic pitchers mound, which can be lowered into the ground when Softball is being played, and raised for Baseball.

The artificial surface gives a true bounce no matter what weather conditions are prevailing, and is some 2200 square metres in area.

This surface was replaced in 2000, at a cost of around $250,000.00-- so you will understand why we do not allow metal cleats to be worn here!

Past events held at the Centre have included Baseball, Softball & Motor Cross, and it has been used for TV commercials, Rock Videos, Dog Training etc.

The centre will seat 2400 people in the main stand, with approximately 1500 more seats down the base lines.

The first base area has been remodelled to provide a grassed area for family use, and 3rd base has now been remodelled with a grass mound and some tables and benches.

The Centre is equipped with a commercial kitchen, and. with our Boardroom, we can cater for many functions, from training courses, 21st Birthdays, General meetings, to almost any function you may care to suggest!

At present, we have the main diamond and one full size baseball diamond outside, with two junior baseball diamonds outside, and we are looking to increase this by adding perhaps three more junior diamonds outside.
